The benefit for the North Carolina Children’s Hospital has two physical challenges that competitors must overcome. The first is the two mile run from the NC State Bell Tower to the Krispy Kreme Store on Peace St. and then the two mile run back to the Bell Tower. The second is the overwhelming 12doughnuts each runner must eat before returning back to the starting line, all within the hour.
Runners will assemble on the 2100 block of Hillsborough Street. Pullen Street will be closed from the roundabout one block off Hillsborough to Hillsborough from 7:30 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 6. Hillsborough Street will be closed from Enterprise to Woodburn and Boylan to Woodburn from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.St Mary’s Street closed from Peace to Hillsborough St from 8:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.The race should be over and all traffic will be reopened by 11 a.m. on Saturday.
