Mylmu

The new portal, named MYLMU, was launched on January 9th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Faculty, staff and students were invited to explore MYLMU in a "Preview Phase" beginning on November 10, 2008.

MYLMU is a community project that started in October, 2007. The project team was comprised of staff from Information Technology Services and Web, New Media and Design. The Web Advisory Committee has taken the primary lead for providing feedback about ManeGate and the university's future direction with MYLMU.

In addition, the Web Office sponsored focus groups and an external usability consultant to coordinate feedback and submit a report on ManeGate's successes, challenges and continuing needs.

Loyola Marymount University MYLMU page is located at my.lmu.edu MYLMU is a complete overhaul. ManeGate, based on proprietary software running on the Luminis platform, was replaced with open standards-based software developed by the CampusEAI Consortium. Learn a few things about MYLMU...

MYLMU features a new visual, content and architecture redesign. As in past redesigns, user feedback was the primary consideration in developing a new approach. The user interface was streamlined to take advantage of the edgier visual themes that were developed in the recent redesign of LMU.edu and the introduction of iLMU.

MYLMU represents a community-wide effort and we believe that the design innovations presented in MYLMU will prove to be a vast improvement. The main difference are no more tabs, channels and other clutter that makes it difficult to find what you're looking for.
